How many USB ports does this Impact 5000 Go take up?
Just one: the same port is used for calls and for charging. On a laptop with only two ports, that is a real advantage — you plug in the USB cable and everything works.
What wireless range does this DECT headset offer?
Up to 135 m around the dongle: you can answer a call far from your desk, in a corridor or a nearby room. The DECT link is dedicated to voice and does not suffer interference from the wireless network.
What is in the box of this Impact 5000 Go?
The headset, the DECT dongle, the CH 50 foldable charging stand, a charging cable, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a pouch, the quick guide and the safety and compliance sheets.
Does the charging stand take up space on the desk?
No, it is compact and foldable: folded, it fits with the headset in the supplied RPET felt pouch. That is what lets you take the complete DECT setup with you when travelling.
Can the mic boom be placed on the right as well as the left?
Yes, it is flexible and rotates through 270°: everyone places it on the side that suits them and positions it as close as possible to the mouth. The microphone is noise-cancelling with voice detection, so that only your voice is transmitted.
Where are calls managed on this wireless headset?
Directly on the headset: the answer/end call, mute and volume buttons are on the ear cup. Your hands stay free and you do not have to go back to the screen to take a call.
Is hearing protected on this model?
Yes, on three levels: ActiveGard against acoustic shocks, the European limiter that caps exposure at an average of 85 dB over the day, and compliance with the Australian G616 standard.
Is this headset suitable for Microsoft Teams meetings?
Yes, it is Microsoft Teams certified: the headset is recognised by the application and calls can be taken there with no prior setup. The two ear cups cover both ears, so you can focus on the meeting.
Can this headset be managed remotely across a company fleet?
Yes: EPOS Connect is available as a mobile app, desktop software and a browser version, and EPOS Manager configures, manages and monitors devices from a centralised portal.
Is this EPOS Impact 5000 Go new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, dongle, CH 50 stand and pouch included, and covered by a 2-year warranty for model 1001436, with the invoice as proof. The manufacturer's document for the IMPACT 5000 Go series details all the measurements.
