This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Shure MV7+ connect via USB or XLR?
Both: a USB-C output to the computer and an XLR output to a mixing desk or an audio interface. This is what lets you start with USB and then move to analogue without changing microphone.
What is the MV7+ light bar for?
Two things: it acts as a live level meter — you can see your level without taking your eyes off the mic — and as a touch mute button, with a simple tap. It can be customised from 16.8 million colours.
Do you need to set the gain on the MV7+ before recording?
No: Auto Level mode adjusts the level according to your distance and to the room. The sound stays consistent without any intervention during recording.
Do you need a pop filter in front of the MV7+?
No: the Digital Popper Stopper handles plosives digitally. At the same time, the Real-time Denoiser takes care of ambient noise in the room.
Which processing does the MOTIV Mix app unlock?
Gain, EQ, compressor and limiter, as well as three reverbs: Plate, Hall and Studio. All the processing is done in the mic, with no plugin to install in your recording software.
Can I listen to myself on headphones while recording?
Yes: the MV7+ has a built-in headphone output for direct monitoring during the take. You hear what the mic picks up, as it picks it up.
Can the MV7+ be mounted on a mic arm?
Yes: its adjustable yoke fits a stand as well as a boom arm, on the standard 5/8-inch thread. The body is die-cast aluminium, all metal.
Why a cardioid dynamic capsule on this podcast mic?
Because it is focused on the voice: it picks up what is in front of it and largely ignores the rest of the room. It is the choice of radio studios, in rooms that are rarely acoustically treated.
What is in the Shure MV7+ box?
The mic and a 3-metre USB-C cable. For XLR use, you will need the cable that matches your mixing desk or interface.
Is this Shure MV7+ microphone new and under warranty?
