1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is in the box of the Shure SRH1540?
Four accessories in addition to the headphones: two detachable cables, a gold-plated threaded 6.35 mm jack adapter, a zippered hard case and a spare pair of Alcantara ear cushions.
What happens if a cable breaks on these headphones?
It can be replaced: the cables are detachable with MMCX connectors, a bayonet connector designed to be reconnected thousands of times. Two cables are supplied anyway, so a broken cable does not leave you without headphones.
Why Alcantara ear cushions on these studio headphones?
For comfort and sound isolation: this suede-like fabric keeps a soft surface over long sessions and closes the seal around the ear. Shure supplies a second pair, because it is the part that wears out.
What is the SRH1540 made of?
Aluminium alloy and carbon fibre, for an ultra-lightweight, ergonomic headband. On headphones intended for entire days of mixing, a light frame matters as much as the padding.
What difference does the APTiV diaphragm make on these headphones?
The steel driver housing, its vented centre pole and the APTiV film aim to reduce distortion and eliminate internal resonances: the sound stays consistent at any volume, a prerequisite for reliable critical listening.
Are the two drivers identical?
Yes: Shure specifies individually matched drivers, so the left and right drivers are paired. On mixing headphones, any difference between the two channels would distort any judgement of stereo placement.
Is the supplied cable of particular quality?
Yes: it is made of oxygen-free copper with a reinforced jacket, which Shure links to both durability and sound quality. It is the type of cable found on studio equipment.
Do these headphones have electronic noise cancellation?
No, there is no active cancellation: the isolation comes from the closed-back over-ear design and the Alcantara ear cushions. Nothing processes the signal, which is exactly what you want from critical listening headphones.
