No: they clip onto the outer ear, with no ear tips and no pressure in the ear canal. JBL OpenSound technology delivers sound through air conduction, leaving your ears free to hear the street, a colleague or an announcement.

How many hours of listening before they go back in the case?

8 h from the earbuds alone, plus three full charges in the case, for 32 h in total. On calls, battery life drops to 4 h — the microphone and voice processing use more power than music playback.

Do I need to buy a cable to charge them?

Yes: the charging cable is not included. Any USB-C cable will do, including your phone's, and a 10-minute charge gives you 3 h of listening. A full charge takes 2 h.

Can the person at the next desk hear what I am listening to?

The speaker is precisely angled to limit leakage, and the SonicArc design aims for completely private listening — so that only you hear your music and calls. It is the usual weak point of the open format, addressed here as a priority.

Are they comfortable for a whole day?
