How does translation work on the OpenVoice?
Through the EarJoy app, which translates in real time in three modes: face to face, call translation, or one earbud per person so that each person speaks in their own language. It is this last mode that really changes a two-person conversation.
Do these earbuds block the ear?
No: the Open Ear design leaves the ear free. You enjoy your music while staying aware of your surroundings — a sensible choice for translation, where you need to keep hearing the other person directly.
How long do the OpenVoice last?
5 hours of playback per charge and up to 25 more hours from the case, i.e. 30 hours in total. The earbuds fully charge in 1 hour; the case holds 500 mAh, compared with 35 mAh per earbud, and charges via USB-C.
Can an open design deliver bass?
These earbuds rely on 17 mm dynamic drivers, very large for this format: a larger diaphragm moves more air, which partly makes up for the ear canal not being sealed. The stated frequency response covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 16 ohms.
How far can you move away from your phone?
