The ATR3350x is an omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone weighing 6 g: it clips onto clothing, stays discreet in the frame and reproduces the voice intelligibly and accurately. It is made for video.

One battery, one switch, 3 m of cable

The 3 m cable carries a small housing that holds the LR44 button cell, included, and the on/off switch. It ends in a dual-mono 3.5 mm jack plug: plugged into the stereo microphone input of a camcorder, a DSLR or a portable recorder, it sends the voice to both channels. The capsule covers 50 Hz to 18 kHz, and the clip and foam windscreen are in the box.

For a smartphone or a tablet, choose the ATR3350xiS instead, supplied with a mic/headphone adapter.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the ATR3350x work with a smartphone?
Its plug is a dual-mono 3.5 mm jack designed for the stereo microphone input of a camera, a DSLR or a portable recorder. Smartphones and tablets usually expect a four-contact headset plug: the ATR3350xiS version comes with a mic/headphone adapter for them.
Does the ATR3350x need a battery?
Yes, an LR44 button cell, included, which fits in the small housing on the cable. This housing also carries the on/off switch. The microphone needs no other power source.
Why a "dual-mono" plug?
The microphone signal is sent to both channels, left and right, of the 3.5 mm stereo input of the camera or recorder. The voice is therefore heard on both sides on playback.
What is in the ATR3350x box?
The lavalier microphone with its 3 m cable, a clip for clothing, an LR44 battery and a foam windscreen that reduces breath noise. The microphone weighs 6 g, and its omnidirectional pattern provides full coverage, with no need to aim it at the mouth.
