The ATH-M20xBT takes the signature of the ATH-M20x studio headphones, with enhanced bass, and moves it to Bluetooth: up to 60 hours of listening, two devices connected at once and a low latency mode for videos and games.

Sixty hours on one charge

A full charge, of about four hours through the USB-C port, gives up to 60 hours of continuous music playback. In a hurry, you plug the headphones in for ten minutes and leave with up to three hours of listening. When the battery is flat, the supplied 1.2 m 3.5 mm mini-jack cable takes over: the headphones then work like a wired model, without their buttons.

The sound of studio headphones

The 40 mm drivers, with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils, are tuned to enhance the bass while keeping the character of the studio headphones they come from. The response extends from 5 to 32,000 Hz, and the closed-back design, with ear pads that surround the ears, isolates well in noisy environments.

From phone to computer without starting over

Multipoint pairing keeps two Bluetooth devices connected at the same time: you watch a video on the computer and take the phone call. On Android, Google Fast Pair offers pairing as soon as the headphones are nearby. The low latency mode, switched on by a series of presses on a button, reduces the lag between picture and sound in games and videos.

The mic and buttons are grouped on the left earcup: answering and ending calls, playback, volume. The mic, an omnidirectional electret condenser, is used for calls over Bluetooth; it does not work when listening wired, as the cable has no mic.

The supplied audio cable lets you listen even with a flat battery, but not make calls: when wired, the mic and the headphone buttons do not work. Set the volume on the phone or computer instead.
