How fast does the imageRUNNER 2745i print depending on paper size?
45 pages per minute in A4, A5 and A6R, 32 in A4R and 22 in A3: the large format halves the speed, since the printed area is doubled. Resolution does not change — up to 1,200 × 1,200 dpi for printing and 600 × 600 dpi for copying.
How many sheets can the imageRUNNER 2745i hold?
1,200 sheets as standard, and up to 2,300 sheets with the AW1 Cassette Feeding Unit. On a machine that turns out 45 pages per minute, this reserve represents half a day of continuous printing without reloading — what counts on a device shared by an entire department.
What paper weight does the imageRUNNER 2745i accept?
Up to 300 g/m² through the multi-purpose tray, 256 g/m² through the cassettes and 220 g/m² in automatic duplex. The multi-purpose tray also takes labels, coated paper and tracing paper, from 52 g/m² — enough to produce a cover or a divider without a dedicated machine.
Can you print larger than A3 on the imageRUNNER 2745i?
Yes, up to 304.8 × 457.2 mm through the lower cassette, as a custom size — slightly larger than A3, enough to print a poster with bleed to trim. COM No. 10, Monarch and DL envelopes also go through this cassette, using the supplied envelope feeder attachment.
Is the imageRUNNER 2745i's scanner colour?
Yes, it is a colour scanner, even though printing is monochrome. When sending at 300 dpi, allow for 70 images per minute for a single-sided original and 35 in duplex; when copying at 600 dpi, 51 and 25.5. The feeder takes 100 sheets and accepts originals up to A3.
Can the imageRUNNER 2745i also scan A3 on the glass?
Yes, the glass accepts an original of 297 × 431.8 mm, and the feeder also goes up to A3: a stack of drawings can be copied without intervention. Send destinations include SMB share, FTP, WebDAV and Internet fax, at 600 × 600 dpi.
How does the imageRUNNER 2745i connect to the network?
Via Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-T, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct connection, which lets a mobile device connect to it without going through the company network. Two USB host ports complete the set, for a USB flash drive or a badge reader, and the colour touchscreen measures 7 inches.
Is fax included on the imageRUNNER 2745i?
It is available as an option: the machine handles printing, copying and scanning, and the fax board is added to get a Super G3 modem at 33.6 kbps, a 30,000-page memory and 200 speed-dial numbers. Internet fax, for its part, is one of the send destinations.
How much space should you allow for the imageRUNNER 2745i?
64 kg: it is a machine for a dedicated room or a corridor, to be set up permanently, and installation takes several people. It has 2 GB of RAM to handle large documents, and the 7-inch colour touchscreen can be customised to put everyday tasks up front.
