TP-Link LS1005 unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch: 5 RJ45 10/100 Mbps ports in the most compact format there is, to add network ports at minimal cost in an office, a bedroom or a shared workspace — plug it in and forget it.
Ports: 5 Fast Ethernet ports, copper, auto-negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X — no configuration, compatible with any network cable. Ultra-light plastic casing, low-voltage DC power (5 V, 1.65 W max), minimal desk footprint.
Use: ideal for connecting printers, secondary workstations or home devices that do not need Gigabit. The simplest, most space-saving way to add network ports.
Also: 1 Gbps switching capacity, 0.7 Mpps forwarding rate, 2,000-entry MAC address table, Jumbo frames, CE/FCC/RoHS certified.

Are the ports on the LS1005 Gigabit?
No: all five ports run at 10/100 Mbps. It is an entry-level Fast Ethernet switch, designed to add ports at low cost where Gigabit brings nothing — a printer, a set-top box, an IP phone.
How much space does this switch take up?
83.6 × 45.7 × 22.8 mm for 80 grams packaged: it is the smallest format in the range, barely bigger than a matchbox. Wall mounting is not supported; it sits on a piece of furniture or behind another device.
How much power does this switch use, and how is it powered?
1.65 W maximum, giving off 5.6 BTU/h of heat — the lowest consumption in its category. It runs on an external 5 V / 0.6 A power adapter, supplied with the device.
Can this switch be configured?
No: it is unmanaged, with no interface and no settings. Auto MDI/MDI-X corrects the pinout on its own, auto-negotiation recognises the speed of each device and flow control limits losses when the network is saturated.
What performance can you expect from this entry-level model?
1 Gbps switching capacity and 0.7 Mpps, with a 2,000-entry MAC address table and jumbo frames up to 2,000 bytes. It operates from 0 to 40 °C, at 10 to 90% relative humidity.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. This is the TP-Link LS1005, version V1, CE, FCC and RoHS certified, supplied with its power adapter and a quick start guide.
