Grandstream GWN7700 unmanaged Gigabit switch: 5 Gigabit RJ45 ports to add network sockets in a home office or small business — fully plug-and-play, no configuration and no expertise required.
Ports: 5 10/100/1000 Mbps ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX; each connected device is detected automatically at its optimal speed, and crossover cables are no longer needed.
Form factor: extremely compact plastic case (120 × 65 × 24.5 mm, 0.1 kg), sits on a desk or mounts on a wall using the built-in slots — easy to tuck away behind a monitor or under a desk.

Does the GWN7700 need configuring?
No: it is an unmanaged switch, with no interface or settings. You plug it in and it works. Auto-negotiation detects the speed of each device (10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps), and auto MDI/MDIX corrects the pinout all by itself.
How much space does this 5-port switch take up?
Very little: 120 × 65 × 24.5 mm and 100 grams, the size of a phone lying flat. It slips behind a monitor, into a piece of furniture or onto a shelf, and runs without a fan, and therefore in complete silence.
How much power does this add-on switch consume?
1.7 W at 220 V, less than a night light. Green technology adapts power to the state of the links: an unused port consumes almost nothing. Power comes from an external power adapter supplied with the device.
Is voice and video traffic handled properly?
Yes, as far as an unmanaged model allows: 802.1p/DSCP prioritisation moves packets marked as priority by the devices themselves to the front of the queue, and IGMP snooping sends multicast only to the ports that request it.
What performance can be expected from this 5-port model?
10 Gbps switching capacity and a 2,000-entry MAC address table, with automatic learning and ageing. All five Gigabit ports can work at the same time: that is more than enough for an office or a home.
Is the switch new, and where can I view its datasheet?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The manufacturer's document compares the GWN7700 with its PoE version and details the ports, power consumption and environmental conditions: datasheet (PDF).
