How do you pause the music without touching your phone?
By bringing the two earbuds together: the Magnetic Switch feature snaps them to each other magnetically and pauses playback. The same move lets you store them around your neck without them getting tangled.
How long do the Urban 2 last?
Up to 9 h of playback, with an automatic sleep mode that saves the battery as soon as you stop using them. Nine hours covers a full working day, commute included.
How good are the 10 mm drivers?
10 mm with a neodymium magnet, a comfortable diameter for this format: a larger diaphragm moves more air, which gives body to the low end without crushing the treble.
Is a carrying accessory supplied?
Yes, a carrying pouch comes with the earbuds. On a neckband model, that is useful: it stops the cable getting tangled with the rest of the contents of a bag between uses.
How far can you move away from the phone?
Up to 10 metres. That range lets you leave your phone on a desk and move around the room, but not leave it on another floor.
Do these earbuds have active noise cancellation?
No. Noise reduction depends solely on the in-ear design, which seals the ear canal. In town, that is often an advantage: you stay aware of the traffic, which active noise cancellation would block out.
Are they heavy to wear all day?
18 g in total, neckband included. At this weight, you forget they are around your neck between listening sessions — which is precisely the point of this format compared with earbuds you have to put away every time you stop.
