What can the Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB be connected to?
It has three outputs: USB-C to a computer, XLR to a mixing desk or an interface, and a 3.5 mm jack for headphone monitoring. This is what lets you start on USB and switch to analogue later.
What is the recording quality of the ATR2100x-USB?
24-bit at 192 kHz. That is a higher resolution than the usual 16-bit/48 kHz of entry-level USB mics: it leaves more headroom at the editing stage.
Does this microphone pick up room noise?
Its cardioid polar pattern focuses it on what is in front of it and attenuates the sides. Combined with its dynamic capsule, it limits pickup of ambient noise, without any acoustic treatment of the room.
What uses is this Audio-Technica microphone designed for?
For podcasting, streaming and conferencing. It is a handheld mic, supplied with a desk tripod so you can set it in front of you.
What cable length is supplied with this mic?
5 metres. Enough to connect the mic comfortably to the computer or mixing desk without an extension, even at a desk some distance from the machine.
