Can the ZyXEL GS-105B v5 be configured?
No: it is an unmanaged, plug-and-play model. No software to install, no management IP address: the ports negotiate their speed on their own and correct crossover cabling thanks to auto MDI/MDIX.
How does this switch handle voice over IP and video?
Through its quality-of-service ports, which put latency-sensitive traffic ahead of everything else. A voice over IP call or a video stream therefore stays smooth even when a backup is using the network in the background.
Does this switch power devices over PoE?
No, none of its five ports supply power. An IP camera or Wi-Fi access point connected to it must have its own power supply, or a PoE injector placed on the link.
How much space does the GS-105B v5 take up?
82.5 × 46.8 × 24 mm and 110 g: smaller than a deck of cards. It sits on a desk or a shelf, or mounts on a wall, and its fanless design makes it completely silent.
How much power does this switch add to your consumption?
