TP-Link LS1005G desktop switch: 5 Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports, plug-and-play, to boost your wired network at home, at school or in a small office — fanless, with no configuration.
Ports: 5 copper RJ45 Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports with auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX. Compact plastic casing (90 × 72 × 23 mm) to place on a desk or mount on a wall.
Plug-and-play: plug in the power, connect your devices (PC, console, NAS, IPTV…) and that's it. No configuration required. Fanless operation keeps it completely silent.
Also: 10 Gbit/s switching capacity, 7.4 Mpps forwarding rate, 2K MAC table, 1.5 MB packet buffer, Green Ethernet technology (automatic power saving), IEEE 802.3x flow control.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the LS1005G need configuring?
No: it is an unmanaged switch, with no interface or settings. It starts switching as soon as it is plugged in — the tool for turning one network socket into five, in a classroom, an office or a home.
How much space does this 5-port switch take up?
Very little: 90 × 72 × 23 mm, about the size of a deck of cards. The plastic case sits on a desk or mounts on a wall, and works without a fan — so it is completely silent, with no moving parts and no maintenance.
How is this switch powered, and how much power does it use?
By an external 5 V / 0.6 A power adapter, supplied with the installation guide. Consumption peaks at 3.7 W, and energy-saving technology adjusts it according to link status and the length of the connected cables.
Does this entry-level model support jumbo frames?
Yes, up to 16 KB: large copies to a NAS are made with fewer packets to process. Switching capacity reaches 10 Gbps at 7.4 Mpps, which lets all five Gigabit ports work together.
How many devices can this switch keep track of?
Its table holds 2,000 MAC addresses, well beyond the needs of an office or a classroom. Each port adjusts automatically to 10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps depending on the connected device, with no intervention.
Is the switch new, and where can I find its datasheet?
