Is an 802.3af PoE switch enough for the NWA90BE?
No, 802.3af is not supported: you need a PoE+ 802.3at port, or 802.3bt, for unrestricted operation. The access point draws 16 W — but a power adapter is included so you can do without PoE.
How can the guest network's welcome page be customised?
Through the built-in captive portal, whose login page can be customised: visitors see your colours and your message before being granted access. This sets this model apart from the entry-level access points in the range.
Does the NWA90BE support enterprise authentication?
Yes, with 802.1X and RADIUS: each user authenticates against a server with their own credentials, without a shared key. WPA3 encryption and VLAN segmentation round out the setup.
What data rate does the NWA90BE deliver?
4,324 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with 2×2 MU-MIMO on each band — this is the Wi-Fi 7 BE5100 class, on two bands.
What does the NWA90BE's Smart Mesh MLO bring?
The link between access points uses Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation: a remote access point connects wirelessly, over several links at once, which markedly improves this link's throughput and latency compared with conventional mesh.
Why does the NWA90BE have a 2.5 Gbps port?
Because its radio exceeds Gigabit speeds: with 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band, a 1 Gbps port would become the bottleneck. The port negotiates 1 or 2.5 Gbps depending on the switch at the other end, and it is also the port that receives PoE.
Do you need a controller to manage the NWA90BE?
No: with NebulaFlex, the access point runs in standalone mode or in Nebula cloud mode, as you prefer, without a dedicated hardware controller. 802.11r, k and v fast roaming keeps the connection going between access points.
How much ceiling space does the NWA90BE take up?
150 × 150 × 35 mm, with internal antennas — nothing sticks out of the enclosure. The mounting plate is supplied along with the power adapter.
Is the equipment new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. The access point comes with its power adapter and mounting plate, ready to install with no additional accessories.
