How long do the JBL Wave Flex 2 last?
Up to 10 hours of playback from the earbuds alone and 40 hours in total with the case. On calls, allow 6 hours. A full charge takes less than 2 hours, and 10 minutes is enough to get back 3 hours of playback.
What's in the box of the Wave Flex 2?
The earbuds, the charging case, a USB Type-C charging cable, the warranty booklet and the quick start guide. As the cable is included, there is nothing else you need for the first charge.
Can you talk to someone without removing the earbuds?
Yes, that is the role of TalkThru. The Smart Ambient mode also lets you fine-tune how much outside sound you let in — two complementary settings, each activated with a single gesture.
Are they light to wear?
4.12 g per earbud, i.e. 8.24 g for the pair, in an 18.6 × 33.5 × 18.5 mm form factor. The case measures 54.9 × 49.3 × 25.9 mm and weighs 35.7 g: the whole set fits in a pocket without drawing attention.
Can you wear them in the rain?
Yes: they are rated IP54, water and dust resistant. The 5 refers to dust ingress, the 4 to splashing water from any direction — enough to cope with a downpour or a workout.
Is pairing quick on Android and on PC alike?
Yes, on both: these earbuds support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, each with a single tap. Multipoint connection then keeps two devices connected at the same time, over Bluetooth 5.3.
How good are the 12 mm drivers?
12 mm is a generous diameter for an earbud: a larger diaphragm moves more air, which gives the bass more body. Expect 98 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz and a maximum sound pressure level of 95 dB.
How are calls handled?
By four mics, with a sensitivity of -38 dBV/Pa at 1 kHz. It is this number that makes it possible to distinguish your voice from background noise, where a single mic gets drowned out as soon as you take a call outdoors.
Can you adjust the sound?
Yes, the JBL Headphones app offers a customisable EQ and lets you configure the touch controls on each earbud. It is not needed for listening: the earbuds work as soon as they are paired.
Are these JBL earbuds new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Full specifications are in the manufacturer's datasheet.
