What is the touchscreen on the Tour Pro 3 case for?
To stay in control of your listening with your phone at the bottom of your pocket: the Smart Charging Case has a touchscreen that controls music, calls and settings. That is what sets this model apart from every other earbud in its category.
Can you use these earbuds on a plane?
Yes, and it is one of their distinctive features: the case turns into an audio transmitter dongle. You connect it to the in-flight entertainment system — or to a PC — and the sound reaches the earbuds wirelessly, where Bluetooth is not available.
How long do they last with noise cancelling on?
Up to 8 hours with the earbuds alone, noise cancelling on — 7 hours with true noise cancelling — compared with 11 hours with it off, and 32 hours in total with the case. The advertised 44 hours assume noise cancelling is off.
How long do they last on calls?
Up to 5.2 hours with noise cancelling on, 5.5 hours with it off. And if time is short, 11 minutes of charging gives 3 hours of listening; a full charge takes 2 hours.
Why two drivers per earbud?
Because they share the frequency spectrum: a 10.2 mm dynamic driver handles the bass, while a balanced armature takes care of the treble. Each one handles the range where it excels — that is the principle of the dual hybrid driver behind JBL Pro high-resolution sound.
What is in the box of the Tour Pro 3?
The earbuds, the smart case, a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-C to 3.5 mm analogue jack cable, a USB-C charging cable, five sizes of ear tips plus a set of foam ear tips, as well as the documentation.
What does Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 bring?
Real-time calibration: the system continuously recalibrates according to your environment and how the ear tip sits, rather than applying a fixed setting. A personalised control also lets you adjust the level manually.
How do calls work outdoors?
Six microphones and the JBL Crystal AI algorithm process your voice, with a windproof design for talking outdoors. That is what separates an earbud you can use while walking from one confined to the office.
Does the sound follow your head movements?
Yes: JBL Spatial 360 spatial sound includes head tracking. The soundstage stays anchored in space when you turn your head, which adds a lot to a film or a game.
Are the earbuds heavy to wear?
5.6 g per earbud, i.e. 11.2 g for the pair; the case weighs 71.8 g, screen included. The batteries are 65 mAh per earbud and 850 mAh for the case, and five ear tip sizes let you fine-tune the fit.
Can the case be charged wirelessly?
Yes, inductive charging is supported. The earbuds also support multipoint connection — two devices connected at the same time — and Fast Pair quick pairing.
Are these JBL earbuds new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Full specifications are in the manufacturer’s datasheet.
