Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the JBL Endurance Race 2 be submerged?
The earbuds are rated IP68, fully waterproof and dustproof: they withstand immersion, sweat and rain. The charging case, on the other hand, is only rated IPX2 and should be kept sheltered.
How long do they last with noise cancelling switched on?
Up to 10 h from the earbuds alone, with noise cancelling on, versus 12 h with it off. The advertised 48 h is the total with the case, noise cancelling off: 10 h is the figure to remember for everyday use.
How do they stay in place during exercise?
With ergonomic Twistlock wings, which lock the earbud into the ear. The box also contains three sizes of ear tips and a stabiliser to fine-tune the fit to your ear.
What does the app's Sport mode do?
It matches noise cancelling and the equaliser to the intensity of your workout, with a choice of six preset settings. A light workout and an intense session do not call for the same sound balance.
What if the battery runs out just before a workout?
10 minutes of charging give back 4 h of listening. That is the time it takes to change: enough to cover a full workout and the trip home, without waiting for a full charge.
Can you stay aware of traffic while running?
Yes, with Smart Ambient mode: it lets outside sounds back in without having to take the earbuds out. Active noise cancelling does the opposite, to help you focus at the gym or on public transport.
How do calls perform outdoors?
Four beamforming microphones focus pickup on your voice and filter out noise from elsewhere. It is this processing that keeps a call usable on a pavement or during a bike ride.
Can they be connected to two devices at once?
Yes, multipoint connection handles two Bluetooth devices simultaneously: a workout video on your tablet no longer stops you from taking a call coming in on your phone, with no re-pairing each time you switch.
How good are the 6.8 mm drivers?
It is a compact diameter, in keeping with sports earbuds where lightness and fit come first. The 6.8 mm dynamic drivers carry the JBL signature sound, with pronounced bass tailored to a workout playlist.
Are these JBL earbuds new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Full specifications are given in the manufacturer's datasheet.
