Can the 32 GB of RAM in the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ be upgraded?
No. The 32 GB of LPDDR5x is built onto the motherboard, with no accessible slot. It runs in dual-channel mode, which benefits the integrated graphics. Thirty-two gigabytes is already twice the usual allocation: in practice, the question of expansion rarely arises.
Is the OLED screen of the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ suited to creative work?
Yes. It is a 2.8K (2800 × 1800) OLED panel in 16:10 format, covering 100% of DCI-P3 and certified VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600. The variable refresh rate from 48 to 120 Hz makes scrolling smoother, and the anti-flicker and low blue light technologies are SGS-certified.
Does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ charge via USB-C?
Yes, and only that way: the supplied power adapter is a 65 W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 unit, which plugs into one of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports. A single cable therefore handles power, data transfer and driving an external monitor from a docking station.
Which ports does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ C3MG-014MA offer?
Two Thunderbolt 4 ports combining DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, one HDMI 2.1 capable of 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, and a combo audio jack. The HDMI 2.1 port means no adapter is needed to connect a large monitor or a recent projector.
How does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ unlock without a password?
With a fingerprint reader built into the chassis, or with facial recognition via the Full HD webcam with infrared sensor, which records in 1080p at 30 frames per second with HDR processing and 3D noise reduction — useful for video calls in a poorly lit room.
Does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ sound good without headphones?
It has four drivers: two 2 W speakers and two 2 W woofers, which is rare in a 12 mm-thick chassis. DTS processing and Hi-Res Audio compatibility complete the package, along with an array of three microphones with beamforming.
Is the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ portable despite its 16-inch screen?
1.59 kg for 357.7 × 254.3 mm and a thickness of 11.9 to 13.9 mm, in a Platinum Gray aluminium alloy chassis. That is the weight of a typical 14-inch laptop with a 16-inch screen area: the trade-off leans clearly towards mobility.
Does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ accelerate AI locally?
Yes, the Core Ultra 7 355 has a dedicated AI accelerator, and MSI classes the machine as a Copilot+ PC. On top of that, MSI AI Engine detects how you are using the machine and automatically adjusts hardware settings depending on whether you are working, creating or watching a video.
Does the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ have the latest Wi-Fi?
Yes, it has an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 card together with Bluetooth version 6, a combination that is still uncommon. The benefit of Wi-Fi 7 does, however, require a compatible router; without one, the card remains backward-compatible with earlier standards.
Is the screen of the MSI Prestige 16 AI+ a touchscreen?
No, the OLED panel is not touch-enabled. Control is via the keyboard — white-backlit and fitted with a dedicated Copilot key — and the touchpad. To draw directly on the screen, you need to look at a convertible model.
Is this MSI Prestige 16 AI+ new and under warranty?
