This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is Windows preinstalled on the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 21MW009VFE?
No: the machine boots into FreeDOS, without Windows. Plan for a Windows 11 licence and an installation USB drive, or a Linux distribution. The hardware remains fully compatible — the fingerprint reader and the infrared camera are waiting for the operating system before they can be used to sign in.
How much RAM can the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 take?
Up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800. The machine has two SODIMM slots, only one of which is occupied by the original 16 GB module: the second is free. Adding an identical module enables dual-channel mode, which directly benefits the integrated Radeon graphics.
Can you add a second SSD to the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7?
Yes. The machine supports two M.2 2280 drives, each of up to 2 TB: the original 512 GB SSD therefore leaves one slot free. It is the most generous configuration for upgradeability in this category, memory included.
Does the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 have an SD card reader?
Yes, a full-size SD card reader is built in — handy for offloading a camera or a camcorder card without an adapter. It sits alongside a Gigabit Ethernet port, which is increasingly rare, and a 40 Gbps USB4 USB-C port.
What does the HS in the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor of this ThinkBook mean?
At AMD, H denotes mobile chips with a high thermal envelope and S a variant with restrained power consumption — a compromise between sustained performance and battery life. This one has 6 cores and 12 threads, from 3.3 to 4.55 GHz, with 16 MB of level 3 cache.
Is the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 chassis made of metal?
The lid is aluminium, anodised and sandblasted, and the base is PC-ABS plastic. The machine has passed the MIL-STD-810H tests covering shocks, vibrations, dust and temperatures. Arctic Grey colour, measuring 356 × 253.5 × 17.5 mm.
Does the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 charge via USB-C?
Yes, the supplied adapter is a three-pin 65 W USB-C unit, and both USB-C ports support Power Delivery from 45 to 65 W as well as DisplayPort 1.4. A single cable is therefore enough to power the machine and drive an external monitor.
Is the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 screen suitable for long days?
It is a 16-inch 1920 × 1200 anti-glare IPS panel at 300 nits — the anti-glare treatment and the 16:10 format are two real advantages for reading documents. It covers 45% of NTSC and is not a touchscreen: office work yes, colour-critical work no.
Does the ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 last the day on battery?
Its battery is 45 Wh, a modest capacity for a 16-inch laptop — that is the point to weigh up if you often work away from a power outlet. On the plus side, 65 W USB-C charging means you can use a power bank or a powerful phone charger in a pinch.
