How good is the noise cancellation on the AirPods Pro 3?
It removes up to 2 times more unwanted noise than the AirPods Pro 2, and up to 4 times more than the original AirPods Pro. Two new features contribute to this: a better acoustic seal and ultra-low-noise microphones.
How long does the battery last on the AirPods Pro 3?
Up to 8 hours of listening per charge with noise cancellation on — two hours more than the AirPods Pro 2 — and 24 hours in total with the case. In Transparency mode with the Hearing Aid feature, you get 10 hours on a single charge.
Do the AirPods Pro 3 really measure your heart rate?
Yes: LEDs pulse invisible light 256 times per second and work together with the accelerometers to track your heart rate and calories burned across 50 workout types in the Fitness app. It is a first for Apple earbuds.
How many ear tip sizes are included?
Five, including a new XXS size. Each ear tip combines a silicone shell with a thin layer of soft foam, a choice that improves the acoustic seal and therefore the effectiveness of the noise cancellation.
Can you wear them during an intense workout?
Yes: they are rated IP57, a first for AirPods — the 5 covers dust, the 7 temporary immersion. The fit has also been redesigned to stay in place during exercise, which goes hand in hand with heart rate tracking.
What does the Hearing Aid feature offer?
Three things: a scientifically validated hearing test you can take at home; a hearing aid for mild to moderate hearing loss; and an automatic Conversation Boost that amplifies the voice of the person you are talking to in a noisy restaurant.
Do they protect your hearing in a noisy environment?
Yes, an active Hearing Protection feature limits exposure to loud noise, on top of the passive attenuation of the ear tips. The H2 chip reduces noise 48,000 times per second while preserving the natural sound of what you are listening to.
How does Live Translation work?
It relies on Apple Intelligence: you hear the translation in your earbuds, and your reply is displayed in the other person's language on the iPhone screen. If you are both wearing AirPods Pro 3, each of you speaks your own language and hears the other translated.
Do they lower the volume when you talk to someone?
Yes, that is Conversation Awareness: the earbuds detect that you are speaking to someone nearby and lower the volume on their own, then raise it again when the conversation ends. No action needed.
What does the H2 chip bring to the sound?
A multiport acoustic architecture with precise airflow control and a microphone pointing into the ear canal, for deeper bass, clearer vocals and a wider soundstage. A custom driver and amplifier complete the system.
Does the sound adapt to the shape of my ear?
Yes, in two ways. Adaptive EQ uses inward-facing microphones to measure in real time what you actually hear and adjusts the frequencies. Personalised Spatial Audio uses the iPhone's TrueDepth camera to build a profile based on the geometry of your head.
What can you do with the touch controls?
Turn the volume up and down, skip tracks, send an unwanted call to voicemail — and trigger the iPhone camera remotely to take a photo or video. You can also nod or shake your head to answer or decline a call.
What should I do if I can't find my AirPods?
The MagSafe case has a built-in speaker and a new generation of Ultra Wideband that extends Precision Finding range by 1.5 times. So you can find them even when they have slipped down the back of the sofa.
Are these AirPods Pro 3 new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. The exact reference is MFHP4ZM/A, the USB-C version: it is the reference that identifies the product when making a warranty claim.
