Can you add memory to this Asus Vivobook 16 X1607QA?
No. The 16 GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the motherboard: the amount you buy is final, and there is no slot to open up. This is the usual trade-off of slim chassis built around a low-power chip; 16 GB remains comfortable for office work and multitasking.
Can you unlock this Asus Vivobook 16 with your face or fingerprint?
No, this configuration has no biometric recognition: you log in with a PIN or password. The HD 720p webcam does, however, have a physical privacy shutter that covers it mechanically when you are not using it.
What does the Copilot+ PC label bring to this Asus Vivobook 16?
An NPU dedicated to artificial intelligence, rated at up to 45 TOPS, which runs processing on the machine rather than in the cloud: live captions, generative editing in Paint or natural-language search work without sending your content anywhere else.

Can you charge this Asus Vivobook 16 with a USB-C charger?
Yes. The USB-C port supports power delivery, so you can use a universal charger or a compatible power bank when travelling. The supplied adapter is a 65 W unit with a round barrel connector, and fast charging brings the battery to 50% in 30 minutes.
Does this Asus Vivobook 16 have an RJ-45 network port?
No, there is no Ethernet port on this slim chassis. Wired networking requires a USB adapter, sold separately. For wireless, the card is tri-band Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3, able to use the 6 GHz band with a compatible router.
Is the display on this Asus Vivobook 16 matte or glossy?
Matte: the 16-inch IPS panel is anti-glare, which limits reflections near a window. It runs at 1920 × 1200 in a 16:10 aspect ratio, taller than a standard 16:9: you see more lines of a document or web page.
Does the keyboard on this Asus Vivobook 16 have a numeric keypad?
Yes, a full numeric keypad sits alongside the backlit French AZERTY keyboard — handy for accounting or entering data into spreadsheets. The precision touchpad supports Windows 11 multi-finger gestures.

Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB-C port that also handles charging, an HDMI output and a headphone/mic combo jack. Note that the third USB-A port is USB 2.0, capped at 480 Mbps: keep it for the keyboard or mouse, not an external drive.
At 1.88 kg for a 16-inch laptop, is it still easy to carry around?
