Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the EH-TW7000 display true 4K images?
It uses 4K enhancement: each pixel is shifted diagonally to double the Full HD resolution and display 3,840 × 2,160 pixels on screen. The gain in sharpness with 4K content is clear, but it is not a native 4K panel.
How does sound come out of the EH-TW7000?
Via Bluetooth, to a soundbar or wireless headphones, or through the output jack to an existing hi-fi system. This is the route intended on this model to avoid running a cable across the living room to the projector.
How much throw distance does the EH-TW7000 need for a 100-inch image?
Between 2.95 m and 4.77 m, depending on the 1.62× optical zoom setting. The throw ratio ranges from 1.32 to 2.15:1, and the image size can go up to 500 inches: nearly two metres of leeway for the same image is what lets you fit it into an existing living room.
Does the EH-TW7000's lens shift avoid having to mount the projector on the ceiling?
Yes. The manual lens shift covers ± 60% vertically and ± 24% horizontally: placed off-centre on a piece of furniture, the unit brings the image back onto the screen without distorting the pixels, whereas keystone correction would rely on digital processing.
How long does the EH-TW7000's lamp last?
3,500 hours in normal mode and 5,000 hours in Eco mode, for a 250 W UHE lamp. Power consumption is 323 W in normal use, with peaks of 368 W, and 0.5 W in standby.
Is the EH-TW7000 quiet enough for a living room?
32 dB(A) in normal mode, 24 dB(A) in Eco mode. This is a decisive criterion for a living-room projector, often placed two or three metres from the viewers: Eco mode makes it virtually inaudible during a film.
Does the EH-TW7000 play 3D?
Yes, in active 3D, with a depth adjustment to fine-tune the effect. Frame interpolation also kicks in on fast scenes — sport, video games — to reduce motion blur.
What sources can you connect to the EH-TW7000?
Two HDMI inputs — games console, set-top box, player or streaming stick —, two USB Type-A ports and one USB Mini-B. The 40,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,000 lumens are maintained whatever the source, in Full HD as in enhanced 4K.
What is in the EH-TW7000 box?
The unit, the power cable, the remote control with its batteries and all the manuals. You will need the HDMI cable for your source and, for a suspended installation, a mount rated for its 6.6 kg and its 410 × 310 × 157 mm footprint.
Is the EH-TW7000 projector new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with a two-year warranty, the invoice serving as the warranty document. The part number of this version is V11H961040: it distinguishes it from the EH-TW7100, very close in name but specified with a different contrast ratio.
