Can the Endurance Peak 3 be rinsed after a workout?
Yes. The IP68 rating means they can withstand 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1.5 m, in fresh or salt water. So you can surf with them, or rinse them under the tap after training, without risk.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 10 h in the earbuds and another 40 h in the case, for 50 h in total. For calls, allow 5.5 h. And 10 minutes of charging gives 1 h of listening; a full charge takes 2 h.
Do they switch off by themselves when you take them out?
Yes: the earbuds switch off automatically as soon as you remove them, even without putting them back in the case. This saves you from finding a flat battery after leaving them on a changing-room bench at the end of a session.
How do they stay in place during an intense workout?
With a flexible TwistLock ear hook that you bend to fit the shape of your ear. The Powerhook design is intended precisely to keep the earbuds from falling out, even during the most vigorous movements.
Can you adjust how much of your own voice you hear?
Yes, that is what VoiceAware does: you choose how much of the signal picked up by the microphones comes back into your earbuds. It stops you from talking too loudly on the phone when you cannot hear yourself.
How do calls work on a windy trail?
Two beamforming microphones per ear, four in total, handle voice pickup. The processing is explicitly designed for cycling on windy tracks: that is where beamforming makes the difference compared with an omnidirectional microphone.
Can you hear traffic without removing the earbuds?
Yes, with two distinct modes: Ambient Aware lets outside sounds back in so you stay aware of your surroundings, while TalkThru makes it easier to take and hear a call, wherever you are.
How good are the Endurance Peak 3 drivers?
10 mm dynamic drivers, 16 ohms, 102 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz over 20 Hz – 20 kHz, with sound pressure capped at 93 dB. It is JBL Pure Bass sound, with pronounced bass, tailored for a workout playlist.
How much space do the case and earbuds take up?
12.5 g per earbud, or 25 g for the pair, in a 51.9 × 40.7 × 29.3 mm footprint — the hooks take up room. The case, measuring 90.9 × 57.9 × 35.6 mm and weighing 76 g, holds a 950 mAh reserve.
Are these JBL earbuds new and under warranty?
