Can the S110-24LP2SR be configured?
No: the S110 series is made up of unmanaged, plug-and-play switches, with no interface or configuration. Operating modes — including port isolation — are selected directly on the unit, but there are no VLANs and no monitoring.
How are the 124 W of PoE+ shared across 24 ports?
124 W shared by all 24 PoE+ ports: a tight budget for this port density. Eight fixed cameras at 15 W already use it up. This model is therefore suited to a floor where only a few devices need power, not to a full video surveillance installation.
What are the two SFP ports on this switch for?
For a Gigabit fibre uplink: they connect the floor to the core switch or to another building, beyond the 100 metres that copper can reach. The optical modules are chosen according to the distance and the type of fibre installed.
Does this 24-port switch make any noise?
No, none: cooling is passive, with no fan, across the entire S110 series. The chassis measures 442 × 260 × 43.6 mm, weighs 3.4 kg and operates from 0 to 40 °C at altitudes of up to 1,800 m, with 5 to 95% humidity.
Are the ports protected against surges?
Yes, rated at ±4 kV on the service ports — useful protection when outdoor cameras are cabled into the building or when cabling runs through several rooms. The MAC address table holds 8,000 entries.
What internal performance does this model offer?
52 Gbps of switching capacity, enough for all 24 Gigabit ports and both fibre links to work together. The power supply accepts 110 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz and is built into the chassis: a standard power cable is all you need.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
