This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the U7 Pro Outdoor withstand direct exposure to rain?
Yes, it is rated IP67: dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. Its operating range is -30 to 60 °C, with 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity — enough to cope with a façade in full sun as well as a frosty night.
Why does the U7 Pro Outdoor have a directional antenna?
Because outdoors, it is better to concentrate the signal where the users are rather than spread it out. Its built-in directional antenna thus covers up to 465 m² — one of the largest areas in the category — instead of spreading coverage evenly around the mast.
How many devices can the U7 Pro Outdoor serve at the same time?
More than 300, with six spatial streams in Wi-Fi 7 and a stated throughput of up to 8.6 Gbps. That is the scale of an event terrace, a campsite or an open-air shopping area.
What power supply do you need for the U7 Pro Outdoor?
A PoE+ port: a single network cable carries power and data, with no power outlet at the mounting point — a real advantage on a mast or a façade, where running 220 V is expensive.
Why is its network port 2.5 Gbps?
Because the radio far exceeds Gigabit: with a theoretical 8.6 Gbps, a 1 Gbps port would cap traffic to the wired network. The 2.5 Gbps port removes this ceiling, provided the switch at the other end supports it too.
Are the mounting brackets supplied with the U7 Pro Outdoor?
Yes, the wall and pole brackets are included. The access point measures 170 × 208 × 66.5 mm without the bracket and weighs 1.2 kg: plan for a solid mounting point on a mast exposed to the wind.
Can you extend outdoor coverage without running a cable?
Yes, the U7 Pro Outdoor supports wireless meshing: a remote access point connects wirelessly to the cabled one, which avoids digging a trench. It does, however, need its own PoE power on site.
How do you isolate visitors on an outdoor network?
With dynamic VLAN management and a guest network: visitors are placed on a separate network, with no access to internal resources. That is the minimum for an open hotspot in a public space.
Is the equipment new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for one year. The access point is CE certified and NDAA compliant, a point that some public tenders require.
