Do the JBL Wave 300 block the ear canal?
No: they use an open-ear design, in a bud-on-stem format. Music plays without blocking the ear canal, so you can still hear the street or an announcement at the same time — a safety point outdoors.
How long do they last?
6 hours of playback per charge and 26 hours in total with the case. And if the battery runs out, 10 minutes of charging gives you 1 hour of playback; a full charge takes less than 2 hours.
Can you use just one earbud?
Yes, thanks to Dual Connect: you can switch between mono and stereo at any time. It is also a way to double your listening time over a long day, by charging the unused earbud while listening with the other.
Can an open design deliver bass?
These earbuds rely on a 12 mm driver, large for this format, combined with JBL Deep Bass sound. Expect 32 ohm impedance and 105 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz, with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response.
Can you wear them in light rain?
They are IPX2-certified, a so-called rainproof design that covers drops falling on the earbuds. It is a modest rating: it lets you listen outdoors in damp weather, without making them swimming earbuds.
Are they light enough to wear for long periods?

Can you control music without your phone?
