1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is Windows preinstalled on the MSI Modern 15 F13M?
No, this reference ships with FreeDOS: no Windows system is present. Plan to install your own licence or a Linux distribution before first use. The hardware, for its part, is complete, from the backlit AZERTY keyboard to the wired network port.
Can you add memory to this MSI Modern 15 F13M?
Yes, and it is even recommended: the 16 GB is installed as a single module, with two slots available. The second one is free, and capacity can go up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600. You therefore add a module without throwing anything away.
Why does adding a second memory module change the graphics of this Modern 15?
Because the Intel Iris Xe graphics only work fully with dual-channel memory. Supplied with a single module, the machine runs in single-channel mode: adding a second module of the same capacity enables dual-channel and unlocks Iris Xe graphics.
Can you replace the SSD in this MSI Modern 15 yourself?
MSI explicitly refers you to a service centre for any SSD upgrade. The chassis also has only one M.2 slot (PCIe Gen4), occupied by the 512 GB drive: expanding storage therefore means replacing the drive, not adding one.
What ports does this MSI Modern 15 F13M have?
Three USB-A ports, one USB-C port (10 Gbps, DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0), an HDMI output, a microSD reader, a headphone jack and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The connectivity is complete: you need neither an adapter nor a docking station for everyday use.
What is the maximum resolution supported by the HDMI output of this Modern 15?
4K, but at 30 Hz — a refresh rate that suits a presentation or a static display, less so everyday work, where the cursor will appear jerky. For smoother 4K, use the USB-C port, which supports DisplayPort.
How good is the webcam of this MSI Modern 15 for video calls?
It is modest: a 720p HD camera at 30 frames per second, with a physical shutter. Adequate for an occasional call, it shows its limits in daily meetings — an external USB webcam would bring an immediate gain in sharpness.
At 1.7 kg and 19.9 mm, is this MSI Modern 15 portable?
Yes, for a 15.6-inch laptop: 1.7 kg for 358.9 × 235.9 mm and 19.9 mm thick. The 65 W charger remains compact, and with its 3-cell 46.8 Wh battery the whole package slips into a bag without weighing it down.
