1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

This product page offers 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB: what changes?
The capacity, and only that in our catalogue. All three variants share the same 7 mm 2.5-inch form factor, the same 6 Gb/s SATA III interface and the same sequential read speed of up to 550 MB/s. So you choose based on the space you need, not on performance.
Can it replace a laptop's hard drive?
Yes. It is a 2.5-inch form factor, 7 mm thick, the size of laptop drive bays: it fits in place of the original hard drive and connects to the same SATA connector. In a tower, it goes in a 2.5-inch bay.
What gain can you expect compared with a hard disk drive?
More than five times the sequential read speed, with 550 MB/s announced. In practice, you notice it when the system boots, when software opens and when files are copied. It is the upgrade that most changes how an ageing machine feels, even ahead of RAM.
Does the NS100 work under macOS and Linux?
Yes, it is stated as compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. It is a standard SATA drive, seen by the system like any other volume: there is no proprietary driver to install before you can partition and format it.
Is it silent, and is it sensitive to knocks?
It is completely silent: flash memory has no moving parts, so no motor and no read head. That is also what makes it resistant to shocks and vibration, whereas a running hard disk drive is vulnerable to the slightest jolt.
Can it be used as a backup drive rather than a system drive?
Yes, both uses are intended: a fast system drive to host the installation, or a second volume dedicated to backups and archives. The absence of mechanical parts works in favour of the second role, as a backup drive spends most of its time idle.
Is the drive new and under warranty?
It is new and comes with Lexar's official manufacturer warranty, with your invoice as proof. Check the reference of the variant you chose — LNS100-256RB, 512RB or 1TRB — as it identifies the capacity in the event of a return.
