TP-Link TL-SF1009P desktop switch: 9 × 10/100 Mbps ports, including 8 PoE+ ports, to power IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and IP phones over the network cable, with no power socket nearby.
PoE: ports 1 to 8 are 802.3af/at compliant, delivering up to 30 W per port with a total budget of 65 W to power up to eight IP cameras at once. Extend mode pushes the range up to 250 m for large video surveillance installations.
Practical features: priority mode (ports 1-2 given high priority for video) and isolation mode (traffic separated in one click to keep clients secure). Smart power management prevents overloads.
Form factor: compact fanless metal casing for desktop or wall mounting, plug and play.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many ports on the TL-SF1009P deliver PoE+ power?
Eight out of nine, up to 30 W each under the 802.3af and 802.3at standards, within a total budget of 65 W. The ninth port serves as the uplink. Four 15 W cameras already use up the entire budget.
Are the ports on this switch Gigabit?
No: all nine ports are 10/100 Mbps. This is a Fast Ethernet model designed for local video surveillance: 100 Mbps is enough for several camera streams, but the port will not go any faster.
How far does this switch's extend mode reach?
Up to 250 m — but speed then drops to 10 Mbps on the ports concerned. That is the trade-off to be aware of: range is multiplied by two and a half, speed is divided. Enough for a single camera at the far end of a site.
Can the ports be isolated from each other without configuring VLANs?
Yes, with isolation mode, which you enable in one move: connected devices can no longer see each other and communicate only with the uplink. It is the simplest answer to the need to separate cameras.
What is this switch's priority mode for?
It gives high priority to ports 1 and 2, for latency-sensitive applications — a video recorder or a phone, for example. It is hardware-based prioritisation, with no interface to configure.
Where can this switch be installed, and is it noisy?
On a desk or mounted on a wall: the metal case measures 171 × 98 × 27 mm and is fanless, so it runs silently. It works out of the box, with no configuration at all.
Is the switch new, and where can I view its datasheet?
