Frequently asked questions about this product

Are the 24 PoE+ ports on this switch Gigabit?
No: the 24 powered ports run at 10/100 Mbps. Only the two combo ports reach Gigabit, over copper or fibre. This is the point to check before connecting very high-definition cameras.
What PoE budget does this switch offer?
250 W in total across the 24 powered ports, to the 802.3at standard. Sixteen 15 W cameras fit within the budget; eight 30 W motorised cameras already use it up. Add up the actual consumption before cabling.
How much electrical power does this chassis draw?
281 W maximum, including the 250 W of PoE, from a built-in power supply accepting 100 to 240 V. Two fans handle cooling: it belongs in a rack or a technical room.
Can this switch cope with a hot technical room?
It operates from 0 to 50 °C, an unusually high upper limit that leaves some headroom in a room without air conditioning. The chassis measures 440 × 180 × 44 mm, i.e. 1U, with a rack-mount kit included.
What internal performance does this 26-port model offer?
8.8 Gbps switching capacity and 6.54 Mpps, with an 8,000-entry MAC address table, 4.1 MB of buffer and jumbo frames up to 10,000 bytes. It is sized for 24 Fast Ethernet links and two Gigabit links.
