Which devices can the Sony MDR-EX15AP be plugged into?
Any device with a 3.5 mm jack: smartphone, tablet, computer, car radio or hi-fi system. No pairing, no battery — it is the connector that works everywhere, on old and new equipment alike.
What does a frequency response of 8 Hz to 22 kHz mean?
That the range covered extends beyond the 20 Hz – 20 kHz of human hearing, at both ends. In practice, this mainly means bass that goes deep: that is the role of this model's 9 mm neodymium diaphragms.
Can you answer a call with these earbuds?
Yes: a microphone and an in-line remote are built into the cable. You can answer calls and control music without taking out your phone, which makes them just as useful on the move as for remote working on a computer.
Is there active noise cancellation?
No. Noise is reduced by the in-ear design and the silicone ear tips, which seal the ear canal. This passive isolation works without a battery, as soon as they are plugged in, but its effectiveness depends on how the ear tip sits.
Are they comfortable for listening on the go?
That is what they are designed for: a lightweight design made for mobility, with silicone ear tips that give a secure fit in the ear. Nothing to charge or pair, which makes them earbuds you can leave in a bag permanently.
