Frequently asked questions about this product

Can you play a film from an iPhone on the Epson EH-TW850?
Yes, it supports Apple AirPlay 2, as well as Miracast for Android and Windows devices. As Wi-Fi is built in, streaming works with no cable or additional box: you select the projector from your phone just as you would a smart TV.
How much throw distance do you need for a large image with the EH-TW850?
Very little: its throw ratio ranges from 1.00 to 1.21:1, which means a distance to the wall only slightly greater than the width of the image. For an image two metres wide, allow 2 m to 2.45 m of distance, which makes it easy to install in an ordinary living room, up to 305 inches.
Does the EH-TW850 keep colours vivid in the early evening?
3,400 lumens, and 2,100 lumens in eco mode, with a 16,000:1 contrast ratio in Full HD. 3LCD technology processes the three colours on three separate panels: you can start a film before it is fully dark without seeing the colours wash out.
Is the EH-TW850's built-in sound enough for a film?
Its speaker delivers only 2 W: fine for a short video, not for a movie night. An audio output jack is provided to connect a soundbar or a hi-fi system, and that is the option to favour in a living room.
How long does the EH-TW850's lamp last?
6,000 hours in normal mode, 12,000 hours in eco mode, for a 210 W UHE lamp. At two hours of film a day, normal mode already represents more than eight years of use before the first replacement.
What can you connect by cable to the EH-TW850?
Two HDMI inputs — a games console and a set-top box can stay connected permanently — plus a USB Type-A port. The USB Type-B port, on the other hand, is reserved for maintenance and does not play files.
Does the EH-TW850 sit on furniture or mount on the ceiling?
Both work. At 2.8 kg, it is easy to move from one room to another and sits on a low cabinet; ceiling mounting remains possible for a permanent installation, bearing in mind the short throw distance it requires.
Is the EH-TW850 projector new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. Quote reference V11HB61042 for any part or accessory: the EH-TW series includes several closely related models with different lamps.
