Can the GWN7603 power devices through its network ports?
Yes: two of its Gigabit ports provide PoE output, with a total budget of 12 W shared between the two. Enough to power an IP phone and a small sensor, but not two motorised cameras: the budget is split, not doubled.
What power supply do you need for the GWN7603?
A PoE 802.3af or PoE+ 802.3at port: the access point itself draws only 6.5 W, not counting PoE output. However, do factor in the 12 W budget of the PoE passthrough if you power devices from its ports.
How many network ports does the GWN7603 provide?
Four Gigabit ports: one uplink port that receives PoE and connects the access point to the network, two ports that provide PoE output, and a fourth data port. A room is thus covered and cabled from a single point.
How much wall space does the GWN7603 take up?
135 × 115 × 30 mm for 215 g: one of the most compact access points in the category. The wall-mounting kits are supplied, along with a Kensington lock and a single tri-colour LED for system status.
How many devices does the GWN7603 serve at the same time?

What range does the GWN7603 offer?
Up to 100 metres, in open space: it is a supplementary access point for a room or a small floor, not a long-range coverage access point. The figure varies greatly depending on partitions and furniture.
Does the GWN7603 support WPA3?
Yes, in addition to WPA2-PSK and WPA/WPA2 Enterprise with TKIP or AES. The hardware boots on signed firmware, and each access point leaves the factory with its own certificate and its own random password.
How many Wi-Fi networks can you create on the GWN7603?
16 SSIDs in total, 8 per band, with 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.1x authentication and a captive portal. Enough to separate a guest-room network, a staff network and visitor access.
Do you need a hardware controller to manage several GWN7603 units?
No. A controller is built into the web interface of the access point and manages up to 50 access points of the GWN series locally, with no licence. GWN.Cloud manages an unlimited number of devices free of charge, and GWN Manager, on your own servers, scales up to 3,000 access points.
Is the GWN7603 suitable for Wi-Fi IP phones?
Yes. Advanced QoS (802.11e/WMM, VLAN, TOS) reserves bandwidth for real-time traffic and keeps latency low — and its PoE ports also let you power a wired phone in the same room.
What channel width does the GWN7603 use?
20, 40 or 80 MHz on the 5 GHz band and 20 or 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz. Note: the 5,150-5,350 MHz sub-band is restricted to indoor use by European regulations, which matches this access point's intended use.
Under what conditions does the GWN7603 operate?
Indoors, between 0 and 45 °C, at 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity. Its very low power consumption limits heat build-up, which allows it to be installed behind furniture or in a ventilated enclosure.
