What power supply does the NWA90AX Pro need?
A PoE+ 802.3at port: a single network cable carries both power and data, with no electrical outlet needed on the ceiling. Check your switch's total PoE budget if several access points are connected to it.
Why does the NWA90AX Pro have a 2.5 Gbps port?
Because its 5 GHz radio goes up to 2,400 Mbps: a 1 Gbps port would become the bottleneck to the wired network. The port negotiates 1 or 2.5 Gbps depending on the switch at the other end, and it is also the port that receives PoE.
What difference does the NWA90AX Pro's 3×3 plus 2×2 combination make?
Three radio chains on one band and two on the other: the access point communicates with more devices in parallel than a standard 2×2 model. Combined with Wi-Fi 6 OFDMA, this saves devices from waiting their turn at peak times.
Do you need a controller or a subscription to manage the NWA90AX Pro?
No: with NebulaFlex, the access point runs in standalone mode or in Nebula cloud mode, as you prefer, without a dedicated hardware controller. You can switch from one to the other at any time.
Can two NWA90AX Pro access points be linked without a cable between them?
Yes, the Smart Mesh feature lets an access point connect to the network wirelessly. It still needs power on site, and 802.11r, k and v fast roaming keeps the connection going from one access point to another.
How do you set up guest access on the NWA90AX Pro?
Through the built-in captive portal, which displays a welcome page before access is granted. WPA3 encryption, meanwhile, protects the premises' main networks.
How much ceiling space does the NWA90AX Pro take up?
140 × 140 mm: a discreet enclosure, on the scale of a false-ceiling tile. It is designed for indoor use, ceiling-mounted, and connects via a single network cable.
