Do the Sony IER-EX15C need charging or pairing?
Neither. These earbuds have no battery and do not use Bluetooth: they work as soon as they are plugged in. No risk of finding them flat at the wrong moment, and no battery to watch wear out over the years.
Which devices does the USB-C plug work with?
With a smartphone, tablet or computer compatible with USB Audio Class 1.0. It is the answer to the disappearing headphone jack: you plug in the connector, the device recognises the audio output on its own and the music starts, with no adapter or dongle.
