This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the CX 6200F 24G JL724A supply PoE power to devices?
No: this model number is the non-PoE version. Its 24 Gigabit ports carry data only, and the 4 1/10G SFP slots are used for uplinks. The Class 4 PoE models in the same series offer a 370 W budget.
Can several CX 6200F switches be stacked?
Yes, up to eight members: the stack is managed as a single device, which cuts configuration and monitoring work across an entire building accordingly. The SFP+ uplinks are used to build the stack.
Can this switch be configured from a phone, without a network?
Yes: the switch has a built-in Bluetooth adapter designed for the CX Mobile app. On top of that come a USB-C console port, a USB Type-A host port and a dedicated out-of-band management port — four ways to regain control in the equipment room.
How much processing power does this switch have?
A quad-core Arm Cortex-A72 processor at 1.8 GHz, backed by 8 GB of DDR4 memory and 16 GB of eMMC storage — well above conventional access switches. This is what lets it run Python agents and REST APIs without weighing on switching.
What latency does this model offer at Gigabit and 10 Gigabit?
2.28 µs at Gigabit and 1.46 µs at 10 Gigabit, for a switching capacity of 128 Gbps and throughput of up to 95.2 Mpps. The fibre uplink is therefore faster than the copper access ports, in both latency and throughput.
How is this switch managed day to day?
Through Aruba Central, in the cloud or on-premises, the web interface, the command line or the Switch Multi-Edit software, which applies the same change to several devices. The CX Mobile app completes the set for on-site work.
How much rack space and power should be planned for?
442 × 327 × 43.9 mm: 1U high, but almost 33 cm deep — check the rack before ordering. Power consumption is 59 W at 230 V, which remains modest for an access switch in this range.
Can this switch route between VLANs?
Yes: the CX 6200F series is specified as Layer 3, with inter-VLAN routing and OSPF. Traffic between segmented networks then stays inside the switch, without sending internal traffic up to the site router.
What uplinks does this model offer?
Four 1/10G SFP slots: they accept a Gigabit module as well as a 10-Gigabit module, and are also used to build a switch stack. Enough to keep 24 access ports from being choked on a single uplink.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. This is model number JL724A, the 24-port non-PoE version of the HPE Aruba CX 6200F series, whose models differ in port count and PoE budget.
