The NIS2100-4GT2SFP-HP operates from -40 °C to +75 °C in a fanless IP40 aluminium housing, mountable on a DIN rail or on a wall. Port 1 delivers up to 90 W (PoE++ 802.3bt), ports 2 to 4 provide 30 W each (PoE+ 802.3at); PoE budget of 108 W by default, adjustable up to 180 W.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can this industrial switch really withstand cold and heat?
From -40 to +75 °C in operation, fanless: the aluminium housing dissipates heat on its own. It tolerates 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, salt corrosion and altitudes of up to 5,000 m — this is what sets it apart from an office switch.
How much PoE power does this industrial switch deliver?
One PoE++ port delivering up to 90 W — enough to power a motorised dome camera with a heater — and three PoE+ ports at 30 W. The total budget can be adjusted from the web interface: 108 W by default, 180 W maximum.
On which pairs does this switch deliver power?
Port 1 delivers power over all four pairs (1-2, 3-6, 4-5 and 7-8), as required by 90 W PoE++; ports 2 to 4 use the data pairs 1-2 and 3-6. Full four-pair cabling is therefore essential on the first port.
How is this switch powered on site?
With 46 to 57 V DC, at 4.2 A nominal, through a dual-input terminal block with power-loss alarm. It consumes less than 12 W without PoE load and less than 192 W at full load.
How is this switch mounted in an equipment cabinet?
On a DIN rail or on a wall, with the two brackets and the M3 screws supplied. The housing measures 50 × 155 × 130 mm and weighs 770 grams: it slips into a sealed cabinet, alongside the PLCs and power supplies.
What electrical protection does this industrial model offer?
6 kV common-mode on the network ports, 4 kV common-mode and 2 kV differential-mode on the power supply, with electrostatic immunity of 15 kV in air and 8 kV on contact. EMC compliance covers standards IEC/EN 61000-4-2 to 4-8.
What happens if a link in the ring is cut?
The ERPS protocol, standardised as G.8032, switches over to the backup path: this is the classic topology of an industrial network, where switches are daisy-chained in a ring along a production line or across a site. Loop prevention and port isolation round off the setup.
How many VLANs can you create on this switch?
Sixteen at most, chosen from the ID range 1 to 4094, as port-based VLANs. The MAC address table holds 8,000 entries and switching capacity reaches 12 Gbps, with jumbo frames of up to 10,000 bytes.
What happens if a powered camera stops responding?
The PoE watchdog power-cycles the port to bring it back up, and a PoE usage alarm flags abnormal consumption. On a remote site, this saves a trip for a simple restart.
How do you manage this switch on a remote site?
Through Ruijie Cloud or the Reyee app, with a self-organising network: the switch registers itself and is configured remotely. Cable testing and camera detection make troubleshooting easier without an on-site visit.
