This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Are all 48 ports on the JL815A PoE-powered?
No: 24 out of 48. Ports 1 to 24 deliver Class 4 PoE+, up to 30 W each; ports 25 to 48 carry data only. This is a mixed model, best suited to floors where only half of the outlets need to power cameras or access points.
How is the 370 W PoE budget shared?
370 W for the 24 powered ports, in Class 4. Twenty-four 12 W cameras draw less than 300 W and therefore fit without any trade-offs; a dozen power-hungry Wi-Fi access points, on the other hand, exhaust the budget. Add up the actual consumption before cabling.
What speed do the 4 uplinks reach?
They are 4 Gigabit SFP slots — not 10G SFP+. The fibre uplink therefore runs at 1 Gbps per link; aggregate several of them if 48 access ports have to feed into the same network core.
Which IP address should you use for the first connection?
The switch starts as a DHCP client and takes the address assigned by the router. If there is no DHCP server on the link, it takes the fixed address 192.168.1.1: put your laptop on the same subnet to open the local web interface.
Can PoE power be scheduled by time of day?
Yes: PoE scheduling sets the day and time at which each port powers the connected device, and up to three port enable or disable schedules can run side by side. The access points in a given area switch off on their own at night.
Is a subscription needed to manage this switch?
No: all features are included in the price of the hardware, with no licence or subscription. Management is done from the Instant On mobile app, the cloud portal, the local web interface or an SNMP manager.
What internal performance does this 52-port model offer?
104 Gbps of switching capacity and 77.37 Mpps, with a table of 16,000 MAC addresses, an 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 1.5 MB of packet buffer. This sizing covers the 48 Gigabit ports and the 4 fibre uplinks.
What Layer 2 features does this switch offer?
VLANs, quality of service, IGMP snooping, LACP link aggregation, STP and RSTP spanning tree against loops, and IPv6 dual stack. Management remains “smart”: simpler than a fully managed switch, with no command line.
Is voice traffic prioritised on this switch?
Yes: quality of service recognises packets tagged with DSCP or IEEE 802.1p — VoIP and video first — and places them ahead of the rest of the traffic. A dedicated management VLAN also restricts interface access to technical workstations.
How do you spot this switch in a full rack?
A locator LED can be set to on, blinking or off from the interface: the right chassis stands out immediately, even among identical models. The format is 1U rack-mountable, to the 19-inch standard.
Is the switch new, and where can I find its datasheet?
