About six times faster in sequential read: 3,300 MB/s stated for this 1 TB version, compared with the few hundred megabytes per second the SATA bus allows. The gain is felt above all when the system boots and when heavy applications launch.
What write endurance does the NM610 Pro offer by capacity?
240 TB for this 1 TB version, or 240 complete fills of the drive. The full scale for the series is published: 60 TB on the 250 GB, 120 TB on the 500 GB and 480 TB on the 2 TB. Write endurance therefore doubles at each capacity step.
What type of slot is needed to install this module?
An M.2 slot in the 2280 form factor — 22 mm wide by 80 mm long — wired for PCIe and compliant with the NVMe 1.4 standard. It is the standard on desktop motherboards and recent laptops. Locate the screw mount: if it is 80 mm from the connector, the length is right.
How thick is the NM610 Pro, and does it fit in a laptop?
2.45 mm and 9 g, at 80 by 22 mm. It is flat enough to slip under a laptop's cover, even where clearance is tight. As the module is bare, no heatsink adds extra thickness to the installation.
Does this SSD withstand the shocks of a computer being carried around?
