Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the P410 single-sided?
Yes, it is a single-sided model. Nothing protrudes under the board, which opens up the tightest M.2 slots to it — handheld PCs, mini PCs, thin laptops — where a double-sided module does not fit. It measures 80 by 22 mm, is 3.8 mm thick and weighs 11 g.
What speeds does this 2 TB version deliver?
5,000 MB/s read and 4,500 MB/s write sequential, on PCIe Gen4 x4 and NVMe 1.4. That is the same level as the 1 TB version: moving up in capacity brings space and endurance here, not extra speed.
How many terabytes written can this 2 TB version handle?
640 TB, or 320 full drive writes — double the allowance of the 1 TB version. On a machine holding raw video footage, a photo library and a games library, this reserve matters more than peak speed.
What is the P410's graphene heat shield for?
It draws heat away from the Gen4 controller without adding thickness, unlike a metal heatsink. It works together with thermal throttling, which temporarily reduces speed if the temperature rises: the drive slows down for a moment rather than risk overheating.
Is this SSD easy on a laptop's battery life?
Yes, this is a deliberate focus of its design. Its caching architecture improves write performance while reducing power consumption and the heat released inside the machine, which extends battery life accordingly on a laptop or handheld device.
Which operating systems support this SSD?
Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1, 10 and 11. On Windows 7 and 8.0, an NVMe driver may be needed before the drive is recognised — a point to plan for if you intend to boot directly from it. It also relies on Host Memory Buffer and SmartECC technology.
Is the drive new and under warranty?
It is new and your invoice serves as the warranty document. It carries the reference P410P2TBM28H, to be quoted for any return. The full datasheet lists all the values for this capacity.
