TP-Link DS108GP desktop switch: 8 Gigabit PoE+ ports, unmanaged, to power and connect your IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and IP phones without a mains socket — plug-and-play, silent and efficient.
Ports & PoE: 8 RJ45 Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports, all PoE+ 802.3af/at (up to 30 W per port, 65 W total budget). Power security cameras and Wi-Fi access points straight through the network cable, no electrician needed. Extend mode on ports 1-2 for a PoE reach of up to 250 m.
Plug-and-play: no configuration required. PoE auto recovery restarts unresponsive devices without any manual intervention. Fanless, completely silent operation.
Also: 16 Gbit/s switching capacity, 11.90 Mpps forwarding rate, 4K MAC table, 802.1p/DSCP QoS, IGMP snooping, compact desktop form factor (158 × 101 × 25 mm).

Frequently asked questions about this product

Do all the TP-Link DS108GP's ports supply PoE+?
Yes, all eight Gigabit ports deliver PoE+ 802.3af/at, up to 30 W each, within a total budget of 65 W. You can therefore plug a camera into any port, sharing out the available power.
How far from this switch can a camera be placed?
Up to 250 m on ports 1 and 2, in Extend mode, compared with 100 m in standard Ethernet. The other six ports remain limited to the normal distance: so keep those two ports for the most distant cameras.
What happens if a PoE camera freezes?
PoE Auto Recovery restarts the unresponsive device by cutting and then restoring power to its port. On a spread-out video surveillance installation, this is what saves the most site visits.
Does the DS108GP need configuring?
No: it is an unmanaged model. No VLANs or web interface: PoE activates automatically when a compatible device is detected, and 802.1p/DSCP quality of service is applied automatically.
Is this PoE switch noisy?
No: it works without a fan, so silently. Its desktop case measures 158 × 101 × 25 mm: it sits behind a monitor, on a shelf or in a network cabinet, with no need for a rack.
What performance does this switch offer?
16 Gbps switching capacity and 11.90 Mpps, with a 4,000-entry MAC address table. IGMP snooping also prevents a multicast video stream from flooding every port.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. Full technical details are in the DS108GP datasheet.
