Is an 802.3af PoE switch enough for the NWA90BE PRO?
No, 802.3af is not supported: you need a PoE+ 802.3at port, or 802.3bt, for unrestricted operation. The access point draws 16 W — but a power adapter is included so you can do without PoE.
What is the NWA90BE PRO's BandFlex radio?
Its second radio can be configured for 5 GHz or 6 GHz, as you choose. This is what allows a gradual migration to 6 GHz as your devices catch up, without replacing the access point or redoing the installation.
What data rate does the NWA90BE PRO deliver?
5,764 Mbps if the BandFlex radio is set to 6 GHz, 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz, plus 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with 2×2 MU-MIMO per band. This is the Wi-Fi 7 BE6500 class.
How can visitors be welcomed onto the NWA90BE PRO's network?
Through the built-in captive portal, whose login page can be customised in your colours. The guest network stays separate from the internal network via VLAN, and staff access can use 802.1X authentication.
What does the NWA90BE PRO's Smart Mesh MLO bring?
The link between access points uses Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation: a remote access point connects wirelessly, over several links at once, which gives this link far better throughput and latency than conventional mesh.
Why does the NWA90BE PRO have a 2.5 Gbps port?
Because its radio far exceeds Gigabit speeds: with more than 5 Gbps on the wireless side, a 1 Gbps port would become the bottleneck. The port negotiates 1 or 2.5 Gbps depending on the switch at the other end, and it is also the port that receives PoE.
Is switching from local management to the Nebula cloud free of charge?
No: with NebulaFlex, the access point switches between standalone mode and the Nebula cloud at no extra cost for this change of mode, and without a dedicated hardware controller.
How much ceiling space does the NWA90BE PRO take up?
150 × 150 × 35 mm, with internal antennas — nothing sticks out of the enclosure. The mounting plate is supplied along with the power adapter, for indoor installation.
Is the equipment new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. WPA3 encryption and 802.11r, k and v fast roaming are among the features that can be enabled as soon as it is set up.
