The access point, a 24 V passive PoE adapter with its power cord, the mounting kits, a weatherproof seal and a weatherproof antenna, plus the installation guide. It can therefore be installed without a PoE switch if needed.

Are the antennas of the EAP225-Outdoor replaceable?

Yes, its two dual-band omnidirectional antennas are detachable — 3 dBi on 2.4 GHz and 4 dBi on 5 GHz. That is what lets you replace them with a directional model to focus the signal on a specific path or terrace.

What weather protection does the EAP225-Outdoor offer?

An IP65 enclosure — dust-tight and protected against water jets — and an operating range of -30 to +70 °C. The 4 kV lightning protection and 15 kV electrostatic discharge protection require proper grounding and cable shielding during installation.

What power supply do you need for the EAP225-Outdoor?

Through the captive portal, with authentication by SMS or by Facebook account: this avoids handing out a password and gives an identifiable contact for each connection, which matters in a space open to the public.

Does the EAP225-Outdoor flag a rogue access point nearby?

Yes, rogue access point detection spots unauthorised access points transmitting within range. On top of that come MAC address filtering, access control and 802.1X support to authenticate each user against a server.

Can you schedule the outdoor Wi-Fi to switch off at night?

Yes, time schedules switch the Wi-Fi on or off, and an automatic reboot can be scheduled for off-peak hours. On a terrace that is closed at night, that means fewer unwanted connections.

How do you manage several EAP225-Outdoor units remotely?

Through the Omada platform: software controller, hardware controller, cloud controller or mobile app. 802.11k and 802.11v seamless roaming then moves devices from one access point to another without interruption.

Is the equipment new and under warranty?

Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. The access point fits into the Omada ecosystem alongside the range's switches and gateways, all managed from the same interface.
