What is in the box of the EAP610-Outdoor?

The access point, a passive PoE adapter with its power cord, the mounting kits, waterproofing kits and a weatherproof antenna, plus the installation guide. You can therefore install it without a PoE switch, or connect it to an existing 802.3at port.

What protection does the IP67 rating give this access point?

Complete protection against dust and resistance to temporary immersion — beyond simple water run-off. On top of that come 6 kV lightning protection, 15 kV electrostatic discharge protection and a temperature range of -30 to +70 °C.

What power supply do you need for the EAP610-Outdoor?

An 802.3at PoE+ port, or the included 48 V passive PoE adapter. Power consumption reaches 12.5 W on PoE. That is the advantage of PoE outdoors: a single network cable carries both power and data all the way to the mast.

How many devices can the EAP610-Outdoor serve at the same time?

More than 250 simultaneous clients, with 1,201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and a combined throughput of 1.8 Gbps. OFDMA and MU-MIMO serve several devices in the same time slot rather than one after another.

How is the EAP610-Outdoor mounted?

On a wall or a pole, with the kits supplied together with the waterproofing parts. The housing measures 280.4 × 106.5 × 56.8 mm, excluding antenna and bracket: it is a long access point, so plan for a clear mounting point.

Does the EAP610-Outdoor support WPA3?

Yes, in both WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise, as well as WPA and WPA2 in both variants, with 802.1X support. Rogue access point detection flags any unauthorised access point broadcasting within range.

How many Wi-Fi networks can you broadcast outdoors with this access point?

16 SSIDs, eight per band, with one VLAN per SSID, rate limiting and a captive portal for visitors. Enough to open public access on a terrace while keeping the staff network separate.

Can you cover a remote area without running a cable to it?

Yes, Omada mesh lets an access point connect to the network wirelessly, which avoids digging a trench across a park or a car park. It still needs power on site, and seamless roaming keeps the connection going between access points.

How do you manage several EAP610-Outdoor access points remotely?

Through the Omada SDN platform: cloud controller, OC200 and OC300 hardware controllers, software controller or mobile app. Omada access points, switches and gateways are all managed from the same interface.

Can you schedule the outdoor Wi-Fi to switch off at night?

Yes, time schedules turn the Wi-Fi on or off, and an automatic reboot can be scheduled. On a terrace or a school playground closed at night, that means less power consumption and fewer unwanted connections.

Is the equipment new and under warranty?

Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for one year. The access point fits into the Omada ecosystem alongside the range's switches and gateways, all managed from the same interface.
