Can the EAP650-Wall be mounted on an existing flush-mounting box?
Yes, it fits on a standard junction box, in place of a wall socket. Its square format — 86 × 86 mm by 42.6 mm thick — keeps it discreet in a bedroom, an office or a corridor.
What power supply do you need for the EAP650-Wall?
A PoE+ 802.3at port — the access point also accepts 802.3af — for a typical power consumption of 11.5 W. A single network cable carries power and data all the way to the wall, with no power outlet needed nearby.
How many network sockets does the EAP650-Wall provide?
Two Gigabit Ethernet ports: one takes the incoming network connection and PoE, the other serves a wired device in the room — desktop computer, TV or phone. A room is thus covered and wired from a single point.
What throughput does the EAP650-Wall deliver?
2,402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, for a stated total of 3,000 Mbps in dual-band Wi-Fi 6. That is the AX3000 class, rare in such a compact wall-mounted format.
How many Wi-Fi networks can you create on the EAP650-Wall?
16 SSIDs, with VLAN segmentation, rate limiting and quality of service. A room or a department can thus get its own network, separate from the staff network.
Does the EAP650-Wall support server-based authentication?
Yes, it supports WPA2-Enterprise and a RADIUS server: each user authenticates with their own credentials rather than a shared key — the mode expected in a business or a managed residence.
Does the EAP650-Wall spread devices across its two bands?
Yes, band steering directs compatible devices to the 5 GHz band, and airtime fairness prevents a slow device from slowing down all the others connected to the same access point.
How does an administrator monitor the EAP650-Wall?
Via SNMP and SSH access, in addition to the Omada platform, which centralises management of the whole network. The LEDs show the access point's status, and a reset button remains accessible on the front.
Are the EAP650-Wall's antennas visible?
No, they are internal, fully housed in the white casing. Nothing sticks out from the wall, which is what makes a discreet installation possible in a hotel room or a meeting room.
Is the equipment new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for one year. The access point is CE and RoHS certified and is managed from the Omada platform alongside the range's other equipment.
