1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What does “Read Intensive” mean on this Dell SSD?
It is the drive's endurance profile: it is sized for workloads where reading far outweighs writing — file servers, databases that are mostly queried, virtual machine hosting, image repositories. It is the most widespread class in server enclosures, and the one that covers most uses.
Can it be replaced without shutting down the server?
Yes, it is a hot-plug model: it can be removed and replaced while the machine is running in production, with no service interruption. That is what makes it possible to expand or rebuild a disk array on a server that cannot afford a downtime window.
What does this drive's 512e sector format mean?
Internally the drive works with 4 KB sectors, but presents them to the system as 512-byte sectors: that is what the “e” means, for emulation. The benefit is compatibility — a controller or system that expects native 512-byte sectors sees a perfectly ordinary drive.
Which servers can this 960 GB drive be installed in?
It is listed as compatible with many Dell PowerEdge servers. Its part number is 345-BDRK: this is what you need to check against the list of drives supported by your chassis model, as mechanical compatibility and the support matrix vary from one generation to the next.
What does this SSD offer compared with a server's spinning hard drives?
