How many VLANs can be created on the TL-SG105E?
32 simultaneous VLANs, chosen from the 4,000 IDs of the 802.1Q standard. Three modes coexist: port-based VLAN, tagged VLAN and MTU VLAN — enough to isolate a guest workstation or a camera on a five-port unit.
How is this small Easy Smart switch configured?
Through a web interface or the Easy Smart Configuration utility, which manages several switches in the range at once. Note: this utility only runs on Windows. It gives access to traffic monitoring and cable diagnostics.
Can voice and video be prioritised on this model?
Yes, by port, by 802.1p tag or by DSCP marking, spread over four queues, with rate limiting and storm control. IGMP snooping v1, v2 and v3 also optimises the delivery of video streams, notably IPTV.
What diagnostic tools does this switch offer?
Port mirroring to analyse traffic, cable diagnostics to spot a break, and loop prevention to stop a looped-back cable from saturating the network. Link aggregation is also available.
How much space does this switch take up, and how much power does it use?
100 × 98 × 25 mm in a metal case, powered by an external 9 V / 0.6 A adapter, which is included. Consumption peaks at 2.66 W at 220 V/50 Hz, and cooling is passive — no fan, so no noise.
Does this model pass jumbo frames?
Yes, up to 15 KB, which speeds up large transfers to a NAS. Switching capacity reaches 10 Gbps and the MAC address table 2,000 entries — sizing that is consistent with five Gigabit ports.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
