Product overview

An online UPS for servers and network racks: online double conversion, 2000 VA / 1600 W, rack-mount.
Technology & protection: power is continuously rebuilt — your servers are never connected directly to the mains, with no transfer time. Complete protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise.
Power: 2000 VA for 1600 W of real power — one or more servers.
Runtime: about 11 minutes at half load (800 W), 7 minutes at 70%.
Outlets: 4 C13 outlets (computer and server power cords).
Active cooling (≈ 50 dB), to be installed in a rack or technical room.
LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the SRV2KRI be plugged into an ordinary wall socket?
Yes: a C13 to Schuko cord is included, along with a second C13 to C14 cord. Unlike higher-power UPS units wired to a terminal block, no electrician is needed to put it into service.
How long does the SRV2KRI run on battery?
11 minutes at half load, i.e. 800 W, and 7 minutes at 70%, i.e. 1120 W. A full recharge takes 4 hours, on a 48 V battery rated for 3 to 5 years of service.
How much rack space does the SRV2KRI take up?
2U in height (8.6 cm), 43.7 cm wide and 46.2 cm deep, weighing 18.2 kg. The rack-mounting brackets are included: it is a UPS you mount and plug in, with no accessory to order.
Which outlets does the SRV2KRI have?
Four C13 outlets, the format used by computer and server power cords, for 1600 W of usable power out of the stated 2000 VA. Plan on IEC cords for your machines beyond the one included.
Can the UPS be serviced without powering down the servers?
Yes, an automatic and manual internal bypass keeps power flowing: the automatic one takes over in the event of a fault, and the manual one allows a deliberate transfer to direct mains power for servicing.
What quality of power does the SRV2KRI deliver?
A sine wave, continuously regenerated by double conversion, with a crest factor of 3:1 and an output synchronised at 50/60 Hz ± 3 Hz. Input is accepted from 40 to 70 Hz.
How can the servers powered by the SRV2KRI be shut down automatically?
Through the included USB and RS-232 cables, connected to the USB port or the DB-9 serial port. A free slot also lets you add a network management card to control the UPS remotely.
Is the SRV2KRI battery replaceable?
Yes, under reference APCRBCV201. It is the unit's wear part: after three to five years, it is the battery you replace, not the UPS.
Is the APC Easy UPS SRV2KRI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. It is rated at 50 dBA: with active cooling, it belongs in a rack or a technical room rather than next to a workstation. The datasheet covers the rest.
