Grandstream GWN7816P Layer 3 managed switch: 48 Gigabit PoE ports and 6 × 10 Gbit/s SFP+ ports for a high-density business network with full routing and plenty of power for your devices.
PoE: the first 8 ports deliver up to 60 W (PoE++ 802.3bt) and the next 40 up to 30 W (PoE+) — a 740 W total PoE budget to power PTZ cameras, multi-radio Wi-Fi access points and IP phones. The 6 × 10G SFP+ ports provide uplinks to the network core.
L3 management: static and dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF), 4K VLANs, QoS, stacking (up to 16 switches), managed via GWN.Cloud, GWN Manager or the local web interface.
Also: 216 Gbit/s switching capacity, 160.704 Mpps forwarding rate, 32K MAC table, hot-swappable redundant power supply, 1U rack-mountable enclosure, 440 x 380 mm.

How much PoE power does the GWN7816P deliver per port?
60 W on ports 1 to 8, with PoE++, and 30 W on ports 9 to 48. The total budget reaches 740 W with the original power supply — enough to cover an entire floor of cameras and Wi-Fi access points.
Does this switch accept a second power supply?
Yes: it ships with a 920 W power supply and accepts a second hot-swappable power supply, sold separately. On critical infrastructure, the failure of one power supply then cuts neither the network nor the PoE devices.
Does this switch support dynamic routing?
Yes: static routing, RIP, RIPng, OSPF and OSPFv3. Policy-based routing, however, is listed as “pending” by the manufacturer — do not build an architecture on it today.
How many VLANs and MAC addresses does this chassis handle?
4,000 VLANs and 32,000 MAC addresses — static, dynamic or filtering —, with VLAN virtual interfaces and voice VLAN. Spanning tree handles 64 instances in STP, RSTP, MSTP or PVST+.
How many links can be aggregated towards the network core?
Twenty-seven aggregation groups, leaving plenty of room to double or quadruple each uplink on the 6 SFP+ slots. Switching capacity reaches 216 Gbps at 160.704 Mpps, with 16 MB of buffer.
How many filtering rules does this switch support?
4,000 access control rules for IPv4 and IPv6, complemented by quality of service — port priority, mapping, SP, WRR and WFQ queuing, traffic shaping and rate limiting.
What electrical protection does this chassis offer?
±4 kV common mode and ±2 kV differential mode on the power supply, ±4 kV common mode on the network ports and ±12 kV contact electrostatic discharge immunity. The stated network latency stays below 4 µs.
Is stacking available on this model?
It is listed as “pending” by the manufacturer: the feature is intended to manage several switches from a single interface with redundancy, but it is not active at present. Do not count on it for an immediate deployment.
Which diagnostic tools does this switch offer?
Monitoring of the CPU, memory, fan and power supply with failure alarm, SNMP, RMON, LLDP and LLDP-MED, backup and restore, syslog, ping, traceroute, port mirroring and copper cable testing.
Is the switch new, and where can I find its datasheet?
